I GOT HITCHED YALL!! lol

I am now officially Mrs. (enter husband's last name). Well maybe not officially, because I still have to find time to visit the SS office and DMV, however, I am a married lady now.  We both have known for a long time that we were some day going to tie the knot. I think dating for 4 1/2 years was more than enough time to prepare us for marriage and having lived together for a while we already worked out most of the kinks of living together. I remember when we first moved in together it took some time to adjust, but we made it through. So now on to the review of our wedding day.

Rehearsal started at 6:00pm which lasted all of 30-45 min. We then headed to Gibsons Steakhouse. Where we met close family and relatives and friends who had to travel in for the wedding. We had a blast and felt so blessed to have everyone there to celebrate us. I wasn't thinking and forgot to snap any pictures. I'm sure someone has pictures that I will have to steal.

My middle sister was sweet enough to stay the night with me so I wasn't along on my wedding day.

We woke up and headed to the salon to get our hair and make-up done and I wasn't thinking ahead and forgot to ask my sister to get any pictures of me at the salon. So here is a picture of my hair all done up and receiving a kiss from my mom before I got all dressed up.

We left the house around 12:45. Dress in hand and bags packed for the honeymoon. We arrived at the church around 1:30pm where I was taken to a special room just for me. My bouquet was waiting for me in the room.

We just sat around until it was time to get dressed.
My nephews from Greece

I started putting my dress on at about 2:10pm.

Once I was all dressed it seemed like everyone and their mother wanted a sneak peak at the bride- muah. This bothered me some, because I wanted them to be wowed when they saw me in the church. Oh well!

Church started at 2:30pm.

You may now kiss the bride

We then signed our lives away...
After taking many pictures in front of the alter (I won't bore you with those) we headed to a spot we could get some freezing cold pictures of us.

downtown naperville bridge

Attempted to smash cake in his face but totally missed

Some would say we were late to the reception but we are the ones getting married and time revolved around us.

While cutting the cake his sister was egging me on to smash cake in his face. She shouted if I didn't do it we would have bad luck (things of that nature). I eventually gave into the peer pressure and tried to get him but he dodged the cake filled plate. Instead it hit the side of his face, got in his eye and all over his suite. It was all in good fun and we will forever remember my bad aim. My nephews are still talking about it.

Our first dance
Loved ones made speeches (our close friend, my middle sister, his dad). We ate good food and then we GREEK Danced the night away.

Our niece aka flower girl caught the bouquet

My mom came up to us and said "your doing it wrong- no hands allowed and you have to go under the skirt"

That's all folks. Honeymoon post up next.

Oh my goodness this is crazy...I can't believe that I stumbled onto your blog.

So it has been too many years, but we ran together at WVHS, and I don't know if you remember me.

Congrats on the wedding! You looked amazing!
